I wish I was actually running away with Piolo! But I’m not. Hahaha!

But don’t  you just love this T-shirt? I do! Thanks to my friend Hazel who had connections and thanks too that it didn’t fit her quite well, and so it’s mine!

You know what’s good about Fashion these days? There are NO RULES, NO BOUNDARIES  and that means freedom  is the ultimate trend. We are in an era where fashionistas take control and designers only suggest. Or maybe they are just there to guide and give us inspirations. In the end, we always get to decide.

Long ago, would you have imagined wearing a really casual T-shirt with any skirt? Nah! Our moms clearly trained us to match things – the top should always go with our bottom. And that craggy pieces have no place with feminine and finer ones. Aren’t we glad we’re now free to do what we want and that it’s actually acceptable?

Everything is unconventional. Even the way we buckle up our waists…

And this isn’t even an odd combination cos I chose a denim skirt. But to tell you frankly, I wouldn’t think twice pairing this shirt with a tulle or chiffon skirt for that matter.

Talking about Androgyny in Fashion or what we call Perception Blurring, this pair of Oxfords practically exemplifies masculinity and femininity combined because of its style and print.

If you have been reading my blog since day 1, you would have noticed that I’m fond of sharing my reads especially on one of my favorite books ever, How To Wear High Heels by Camila Morton. This has been my manual and guide to everything that a girl should know to survive in this ever challenging world with grace.

It’s been a while since I last posted actually, but earlier while I was clearing up my desk, I came across with the book and so I thought I should be back to sharing some itsy bitsy thoughts about my favorite topics so as to have a really useful content from time to time. Ha-ha!

Since I love shoes, I thought of starting this second wave of my How-To series with these few pointers on How To Pick A Shoe  in as easy as 1-2-3 by no other than the patron saint of stilettos, shoe designer Manolo Blahnik. ( Assuming we’re talking about high heels) As you see, it has always been every woman’s dilemma  how to spot the right kind in the middle of  a bunch of riveting of pairs. So here goes…

HOW TO PICK A SHOE ( According to Manolo Blahnik )

1. “A good heel picks you. Don’t follow trends”Follow your heart. The first choice is almost always the right one for this is your gut reaction. It is our soul speaking.

th (27)

  2. “Don’t let yourself get distracted with Fashion. If you did you would have to change your wardrobe every four months and where’s the sense in that?”  - Inspirations are everywhere. You can always get ideas but don’t follow just for the sake of following. Always remember to be original. Always look for that one thing that best exemplifies who you are.   th (26)   3. ” I think you must always show some toe cleavage. Toe cleavage is very important as it gives sexuality to the shoe. But careful you only show the first two cracks. You don’t want to give too much away, you’re not that type of girl…As for the heel, honey it’s got to be high.” –  According to Manolo, wear nothing less than 90mm. The higher the better, and the height should depend on how dangerous you are feeling. On my personal take, I think that the higher heel you strut, the sexier you go. Wink!**

Lastly, for the road…  “When you have heels you only need to pack two black dresses, and fill the case with twenty pairs of shoes. Let the heels do all the talking, and you’ll be ready for anything,”-  here’s coming from one successful and highly acclaimed shoe designer preferred by the most conspicuous women in fashion. His shoes are more than just beautiful pairs but a work of art and science combined. Manolo Blahnik -

Hope you enjoyed these teeny weeny tips! Until next time!

Hi! It’s been a while. I got really engrossed with all this election thingy lately. There’s been so much rush all around! If you’re a reader from the Philippines, I know you can relate ;)

Anyways, I’m back to this place again, The Oriental Resort & Spa, in Palo, Leyte. Just a 15-20 minute drive from Tacloban City. I know this has not been the first time I showcased the place. But in due fairness, I have not really uncovered the whole of the area. My previous posts were more of some teeny weeny parts of it so I thought of giving you a much wider view of the place.

And so a day before the election day, we’re back to the place  for some peace and quiet amidst the clamor all over.

What makes this resort special apart from its really vast area is that it sits just  right in front of a very famous historical landmark, Red Beach to where General Douglas Mac Arthur of the United States Army fulfilled his promise on October 20, 1944 of returning and liberating the Philippines from the Japanese regime that colonized the islands. The beach fronting the resort was the site of one of the most significant naval battles ever in the history of the Philippines, and that itself brings back significant memories to the locals and much curiosity and enthusiasm to foreign vacationers making this resort a captivating concoction of antiquity and contemporary luxury.

For more details, you can visit their official website HERE.

I found this really cute neckpiece at 578 Emporimum. The beads remind me of summer, fun, and beaches.

Jelly sandals have been a staple to my Summer 2013 looks. I could practically use them anywhere. Wet or dry .

I have noticed that it’s very practical and less time consuming to be bringing no-brainer pieces when packing for an overnight or out of town. Something that you can just slip on and you’re ready to go.

No fuss. Something like this.

I basically have this dress for years already and I plan to keep it as long as I can.

Because when I don’t have time to think of what to bring… I can always count on this :)

I think that each girl should have her own basic piece.
